The first week of training camp was SO crazy. First and foremost, I want to say how grateful I am for my squad (M Squad) and it feels like I’ve already known them for a month. Not to be biased but I think I definitely have the coolest people. We’re all going through the same things with leaving our friends and family, but in that we’re all able to support each other.
Our living situation is definitely stretching lol. We’re sleeping in tents, only using porta potties, showering in shower containers or using a bucket to shower, and getting ready for the day using a plastic table and a jug of water. Honestly I thought when I got here it would hit me like a brick, but I feel good. I know this is where I’m meant to be. Of course when I think about life going on back home I get sad, but I have a lot of peace about it and God is so good.
I feel like my faith is being broken down and built right back up. There are so many things that I’ve known my whole life about Jesus that are now just making sense to me. Other things I’m having a hard time with. Mainly I’m struggling with hearing God’s voice and learning to discern it. It’s so cool though because I don’t feel alone in that and my squad has prayed over me. I know He has something big for me and I’m just praying for patience and humility as my other friends have beautiful experiences with the Holy Spirit.
Such honesty and vulnerability in this blog. I love the pics! I am also glad that God is helping you to make more sense of things you have known (but maybe not known well or understood). Thanks for writing!
