These last two months went by SO fast. Currently it’s way too late for me to be up and I have to wake up in two hours, but I’ve been productive in terms of getting ready for my trip. Packing takes a lot out of you though holy moly.

There have been lots of awesome things that have happened this summer. I had to get started on my fundraising, so we asked my amazing uncle to preform at a concert where the money would go towards my mission. He said yes, and we ended up putting on a super fun concert and had generous people donate over 10% of my funds. I then headed to a Circuit Riders camp in Kona, Hawaii with my brother Marcus. God was moving so much and it was a perfect precursor to what I know He’s gonna do during this mission. I got back from that trip feeling SO encouraged.

My mom and dad helped me more with fundraising and with lots of shopping, and somehow my squad and I are already about to head to Georgia for training. I’m a little overwhelmed and sad about leaving my family and friends, but I know God is going to give me peace and everything will work out. So excited to begin this adventure 🙂

  2. This sounds so interesting-a fundraising concert. I want to hear more about that. And I know you mentioned the trip to Kona but I would love to know more about what a Circuit Rider Camp is. i can’t believe you only got 2 hours of sleep before writing a blog that is intelligent and is on topic. Good job Alleah!
