I’M LEADING A SEMESTERS SQUAD TO SOUTH AFRICA!
Obviously the Lord pulled through after my last update. What’s crazy is this is actually Marcus’s squad. It wasn’t my plan to be his leader, but it’s God’s, and I have very high hopes for how He’ll work in the both of us in Africa. There are a lot of weaknesses that I see in myself, but what an opportunity to grow and be refined! As of right now, I’m this squad’s only leader. Before, I felt a little nervous about that, but right now I feel so much peace if I’m the only one. Praying for wisdom for the staff as they continue recruiting people to lead before training camp!
Life feels so surreal as I leave this afternoon to begin my travel to Georgia. I’m actually pumped for leader training though! I’m excited to receive more wisdom from the staff and worship with all the leadership team. The enemy will attempt to put stumbling blocks for everyone as they begin this journey, so I’m praying for the Lord’s protection and covering over every racer and leader.
It really doesn’t feel real right now, but the Lord is preparing my heart and I’m so excited to serve Him in this way!!
May I be humble like the Man who came down from heaven to be our servant and savior.
Lord, lead me.
