THE STARS

Drugged people

Debrief was so sweet. The night we arrived at the base, we were all so tired. Wesley, Caitrin, and Marcus all took a melatonin. The other squad wanted to go and watch a meteor shower, so of course for the giggles all of us decided to go. So we all watched this meteor shower in the chilly weather while of three of them were drugged, but there were only like two shooting stars lol. It was still fun! The next day we went to the thrift store to buy some clothes because our bags were still in Germany, then went to Walmart. We got some coffee and walked around. That night we had our first American meal: CHIPOTLE. It was delicious.

Wednesday, we had another fun day. The sessions and everything started, and that afternoon we got to present a little bit about our trip to the other semesters squads. That day we found out that the bags were at the airport and we could go pick them up. So we took a trip to Atlanta. Poor Wesley is the only one who can drive because you have to be 21 to drive so I could not drive and he was tire. After we acquired most of the bags (Kara and mine were not there), we got some ice cream and drove back home.

Thursday, Marcus was on the guitar, Logan was on the drums, and I had the mic for worship. Wesley, Asher Caitrin and Reese were on the stage as well. It was so sweet! I’m so thankful for the small squad we have even if it’s not the whole squad. We had sessions and then went to the Square to have one on one with each of the squad.

Friday we had sessions and then had an afternoon off to do whatever we wanted, so we went and thrifted again For the afternoon then went to Texas roadhouse for dinner. LEE GOT MY BAGS FROM THE AIRPORT!! Praiiise the Lord. Today, Logan and Reese left, and we were down to 6.

Saturday we had our last couple sessions and then had time to get ready for the final banquet. We got all dressed up took some pictures, then had an amazing meal. There was time to honor each person with a paper plate award, and there was a graduation where each person got a certificate and a shirt to celebrate the completion of the World Race. After the final banquet, the squad and I went to waffle House. Kara cut my hair because she’s an angel.

Saying our goodbyes

Sunday morning we packed, cleaned, and got ready to leave. I said goodbye to the rest of the squad. Thankfully I have a brother that is on the squad that I get to go home with. We off at 8:30pm, then we got home to Denver at 9:30pm. Our Mom and Dad picked us up, then drove to our house with our cute doggies Sophie, Wammie, and Charlie. I am so thankful for this house and to be back but it’s so crazy.

SQUAD LEADING IS ALREADY DONE. What a crazy three months. I'm so grateful the Lord gave me this experience and that He brought me back home. I'll share final closing thoughts sometime soon!
